Pink Cable Socks

Here's what I've been working on. I used Opal solid in "Orchid", and #2 US dpn's. The pattern is from an old Bear Brand Socks pattern book. Here they are blocked:

Here's how they look from the front:

And here's a side view:

I'm really happy how they turned out. I hope my sister in-law likes them. I've started another pair using the same yarn in a blue color for my other sister in-law. I'm so glad to get these Christmas presents done before the stress of the season sets in.

Very nice socks! I love the pattern and the color. Did you like working with that yarn?
I found out I hate working with Fixation, or at least using it with small needles, so I'll have to find something else to do with that yarn.

Hi BB,

I really do like the Opal. I'm working on another pair using Opal in a different color, and I've ordered another ball for more socks.

I've heard several people say Fixation was too stretchy. Is that your problem?

Those are absolutely beautiful!! Funny, I think I'm using that same yarn (except my Opal band doesn't list a color, just a number) & those socks are also for my SIL.

Also, no problem at all to link me on your blog! I don't think I've even asked anyone's permission to do that, LOL.
